Winery Cold Room & Control Rooms
A winery's walk-in cooler had climbed to 49°F while the units cooling its boiler control and motor control rooms failed. We brought all three rooms back to temperature.
The Challenge
At a Central Valley winery, a walk-in cooler had climbed to 49°F. At the same time, the air conditioning protecting a boiler control room and a motor control room had failed.
Electrical rooms that overheat can trip the equipment the whole plant runs on, and a warm cooler puts product at risk.
What We Did
- Cooler: used dye already in the system to find a refrigerant leak at a liquid-line valve, replaced the valve and filters, then evacuated and recharged the system.
- Boiler control room: the compressor had burned out from overheating. We replaced it with a new filter drier and contactor, then found and replaced a failed expansion valve that was freezing the coil.
- Motor control room: cleaned the plugged coils, kept the unit cooling on one circuit while the parts came in, then replaced the failed compressor.
The Result
The cooler is cycling on temperature again and both control rooms are holding temperature. This winery is one of our busiest service accounts, with more than 80 service calls this year.

Bottling Plant CIP Room Ventilation
A bottling plant's clean-in-place room lost all six of its fans to drives locked out on alarms. We traced the faults, reprogrammed the drives and got the room breathing again.

Produce Packer Floor Drains
Floor drains across a produce packer's docks, processing areas and coolers were holding water. We cleared them overnight, after production, and put them on a schedule.
